Clear Safari Cache Automatically on iOS 18 for US Users

Safari stores website data and cache to speed up browsing, but over time this can slow down your iPhone. iOS 18 allows you to manage Safari cache automatically. Here’s how US users can set it up.

1. Why Clear Safari Cache Automatically

Automatic cache clearing keeps your browsing experience smooth and protects your privacy. It removes temporary files, cookies, and site data without deleting your bookmarks or saved passwords.

2. Enable Automatic Safari Cache Clearing

  1. Open Settings → Safari.

  2. Scroll down to Clear History and Website Data and tap Automatically (or Enable Auto-Clear, depending on your iOS 18 version).

  3. Choose a schedule: Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.

  4. Confirm your selection. Safari will now clear cache automatically according to your chosen schedule.

3. Manage Cookies and Website Data

  • Go to Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security.

  • Toggle Block All Cookies if you want tighter privacy.

  • Enable Prevent Cross-Site Tracking to stop sites from following your activity.

  • You can also manually remove data from specific websites under Advanced → Website Data → Remove All Website Data.

4. Restart Safari

After enabling automatic cache clearing, restart Safari to ensure settings take effect. Simply swipe up or close the app and reopen it.

AvNexo Tip

Regularly clearing cache improves Safari’s speed and reduces storage use. Combine automatic clearing with iCloud backup to keep your important browsing data safe.
