Improve your nightly routine by creating a Custom Bedtime Routine on your Samsung Galaxy using Bixby Routines. Automatically silence notifications, adjust screen brightness, and prepare your device for sleep — all tailored for users in the United States.

Step 1: Open Bixby Routines

Go to Settings > Advanced Features > Bixby Routines and tap + Add Routine. This allows you to automate specific actions at bedtime.

Step 2: Set the Trigger

Under the If section, choose Time and set your usual bedtime — for example, 10:30 PM. You can repeat it daily or only on selected days.

Step 3: Add Sleep Actions

In the Then section, select actions to prepare your phone for sleep:

  • Turn on Do Not Disturb
  • Lower Screen Brightness or enable Blue Light Filter
  • Mute notifications from specific apps
  • Play calming sounds or music if desired

Step 4: Save and Test

Tap Save and give your routine a descriptive name, such as “Bedtime.” You can test it immediately or wait until your scheduled bedtime to confirm it works automatically.

Step 5: Optional — Pair with Good Morning Routine

Combine your Bedtime Routine with a Good Morning Routine to automatically restore alerts, adjust brightness, and get daily updates as soon as you wake up.

AvNexo Tip

For maximum efficiency, enable Bedtime Mode in Digital Wellbeing settings alongside your Bixby routine. This ensures your phone automatically enters a restful state while you sleep.
