Enable Two-Factor Authentication on Samsung Accounts

Protecting your Samsung Account with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security, keeping your personal data and Galaxy devices safe from unauthorized access. Here’s how to enable 2FA on your Samsung Account in just a few steps.

Step 1: Open Samsung Account Settings

On your Galaxy device, go to Settings > Samsung Account and select Security and Privacy. You can also access these settings by visiting account.samsung.com on a web browser.

Step 2: Choose Two-Step Verification

In the security menu, tap Two-Step Verification. This feature helps verify your identity whenever you sign in from a new device or browser.

Step 3: Add Your Phone Number

Enter your primary phone number where Samsung will send a verification code. You’ll receive a text message or call each time you log in from an unrecognized location.

Step 4: Verify the Code

Enter the 6-digit code sent to your phone to activate Two-Factor Authentication. Once verified, 2FA becomes active for all Samsung services linked to your account.

Step 5: Manage Backup Codes

Samsung provides backup codes in case you lose access to your phone. Store them securely offline so you can still sign in when needed.
