How to Report Spam Calls in the US and Canada

Reporting spam calls helps carriers and regulators track and block scammers more effectively. Here’s how users in the U.S. and Canada can do it.

1. Report to the FTC (United States)

Visit donotcall.gov → click “Report Unwanted Calls” → fill in the number and details.
The FTC uses these reports to identify and take action against repeat offenders.

2. Report to the FCC

Go to fcc.gov/complaints → select “Phone” → choose “Unwanted Calls” and submit the complaint form.

3. Report in Canada to the CRTC

Visit lnnte-dncl.gc.ca → click “File a Complaint” → enter the spam number and time of call.
The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) enforces the national Do Not Call List.

4. Use Carrier Reporting Tools

  • AT&T: Report by dialing #SPAM (#7726)

  • Verizon: Forward the spam number to 7726

  • T-Mobile: Forward the message or number to 7726

AvNexo Tip: Reporting spam regularly helps your carrier improve filters and protects other users from the same numbers.
