If your Samsung Galaxy feels slow on data or pages take too long to load in the United States or Canada, there are practical steps to improve network speed on major North American carriers like Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Rogers.

Step 1: Check Signal and Carrier Coverage

Move to an area with stronger signal or check your carrier’s coverage map. Indoor reception can be weak—try near a window or higher floor to compare speeds.

Step 2: Toggle Airplane Mode

Turn on Airplane Mode for 10 seconds and disable it. This forces the phone to reattach to the nearest cell tower and can solve transient network issues.

Step 3: Switch Network Mode

Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Network Mode and try LTE/4G only if 5G is unstable in your area. In some regions, LTE offers more consistent speeds.

Step 4: Update Carrier / APN Settings

Install any carrier settings updates via Settings > Software Update. If internet is still slow, confirm the APN settings with your carrier and reapply them if needed.

Step 5: Use Wi-Fi Assist and Prioritize Networks

Enable Wi-Fi Calling and check Wi-Fi priority in your router settings. Also ensure your home Wi-Fi uses a clear channel and 5 GHz for better speeds indoors.

AvNexo Tip

If your carrier supports it, enabling VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling often reduces latency and improves overall call/data performance in congested areas.
