Optimize Samsung Galaxy Battery for Verizon and AT&T Networks

Improve your battery life by optimizing your Samsung Galaxy for use on Verizon and AT&T networks. These adjustments help reduce unnecessary power drain, enhance signal efficiency, and ensure your device runs smoothly throughout the day.

Step 1: Enable Adaptive Battery

Go to Settings > Battery & Device Care > Battery and turn on Adaptive Battery. This feature manages background activity intelligently, especially useful on carrier networks like Verizon and AT&T where apps may frequently sync data.

Step 2: Optimize Network Mode

Navigate to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks and select the appropriate network mode for your carrier:

  • Verizon: Use 5G/LTE Auto unless you're in an area with weak 5G coverage, then switch to LTE Only to reduce signal hunting.
  • AT&T: Keep 5G On if coverage is stable; otherwise choose LTE for better battery performance.

Step 3: Limit Background Network Usage

Open Settings > Connections > Data Usage and review apps with high mobile data consumption. For apps that don’t need real-time access, enable Restrict Background Data. This significantly reduces drain on both Verizon and AT&T networks.

Step 4: Turn Off Unused Connectivity Features

Disable power-hungry features when not needed:

  • Turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth if you’re not using them
  • Disable Mobile Hotspot and NFC
  • Use Airplane Mode in no-signal areas to prevent excessive signal searching

Step 5: Use Power Saving Modes

Go to Battery & Device Care and enable Power Saving Mode when you want to maximize battery life. This is especially effective in areas with poor Verizon or AT&T coverage, where phones often consume extra power maintaining a stable signal.

AvNexo Tip

If your battery drains quickly in low-coverage areas, create a Bixby Routine that automatically switches to LTE or enables Power Saving Mode when signal strength drops.
