Switching from an iPhone to a Samsung Galaxy in the United States? Transferring your contacts is quick and secure using Samsung’s built-in tools and cloud options — no third-party apps required. Follow these simple steps to move your data seamlessly.

Step 1: Use Samsung Smart Switch

Download and open the Smart Switch app on your Galaxy device. On your iPhone, make sure iCloud Backup is enabled under Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > iCloud Backup. Then, on your Galaxy, select Receive Data > iPhone/iPad.

Step 2: Connect via Cable or iCloud

If you have a USB-C to Lightning cable, connect both phones directly. Otherwise, choose Get Data from iCloud and sign in with your Apple ID. Select Contacts to begin the transfer process.

Step 3: Wait for Transfer to Complete

The duration depends on the number of contacts and connection speed. Once finished, your contacts will appear automatically in the Samsung Contacts app.

Step 4: Sync Contacts with Google Account (Optional)

For extra backup, go to Settings > Accounts and Backup > Manage Accounts > Google and toggle on Sync Contacts. This ensures your phonebook stays synced across all Android devices.

Step 5: Verify Contact Groups

Open the Contacts app and check for duplicate or missing entries. You can merge duplicates by tapping Manage Contacts > Merge Contacts for a cleaner phonebook.

AvNexo Tip

If your contacts don’t appear after transfer, open the Contacts app, tap Menu > Settings > Contacts to Display, and select All Contacts. Sometimes, only one account’s contacts are shown by default.
